When twitter started allowing tweet editing it was one more nail in the coffin of the site being useable. What’s next here, blog length skeets? NFT avatars? If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

You seem to confuse not broken for your personal preferences and not broken for others. This is just a suggestion, but my experience is that if I don't want a feature I simply don't use it instead of whining to people about it. It works and it's less effort.

This feature has a direct impact on my use, it is not a mere question of choice and it is actually a burden that due to this feature I have to check if a post is more than 5 minutes old before answering.
