The autosave overwrote my Forever Save file, the one I've been editing sims in the past month for some other save I've been playing these past days. ALL THOSE FAMILY TREES, gone.

Oh this hurts. I'm so sorry. Do you back up your files in general?

yeah not as often as I should 🫠 when I finished plopping the lots I saved as so I have that as a backup. but the whole MONTH of edits, the sim families, is all gone.

Ya, I feel that I use crashplan (was grandfathered in from a personal plan) for off site back up. On site back up isn't up. But I'm looking into building a NAS. Idk why CAS and build mode always seem like the biggest pain when having to re-do work. I can't imagine a month of editing.

That would have been painful! Even just linking everyone would have been rough! 😫 Side question, how is your game/pc handling all data?

I have an ok setting and I think it's handling fine! The first loading screen before the main menu is slower but I think it was because of the autosave patch. But it's not lagging or anything like that!
