"When measuring problems becomes more important than solving them, the measurement becomes the problem."

Wild people are dredging this work subtweet out of the caverns of my mind lol.

reminds me i need to renew a couple domains with namecheap and i can't do that with my usual browser setup because their checkout button is wired through GA so if you block GA you can't pay

omg i have never tried that's unsurprising but also garbage

yep i told their support and their answer was not "oh we'll tell the dev team to put a single wafeur-thin if statement in the code" but "oh you should just enable GA then"

lol their support is hilarious. it used to be good way back. i wanna downgrade my vps and Im stuck in a loop w their support, I'm gonna be forced to move my longstanding .com elsewhere I've just been lazy

the thing about domain registrars is they are possibly the most commodity class of service on the internet, along with ISPs and hosting (and certificate authorities i guess but do we even really need those anymore??)

but i need dns for my mail servers about it
