<3 pls give me an excuse to talk about my 57 year old spiky babygirl !!

ok lets start this thang!!! 1. Vaena Illana Ingellvar she chose her name when she transitioned in her 40s<3 everyone called her ingellvar anyways so it wasnt a huge shift, but it mattered to her

2. Age: 57!! i have her in her late 50s, i kept flip flopping but im sticking to her being born just before it became the Dragon Age. (i cant give you an exact year because i still have no idea if VG actually takes place in 9:52)

3. Race elf :) the kind you find as an infant after the necropolis shuffles around its rooms and you go "why is that there."

4. Background mourn watch guard 🖤 she has the tiniest inclination to magic (presumably someone in her bloodline was a mage) that means she can use some death magic lite™️ in ceremonies and in combat (my reasoning for reaper spec)

4. continued she grew up in the necropolis, attended her classes, generally flew under the radar. she had some magical talent but nothing innately strong enough to ever become a full-fledged necromancer, still she took some introductory courses. she did show great promise in her ability to

4. cont. cont. hold in the face of an attack and knew her way around a sword. she spent most of her years in the necropolis as a guard until she was inducted into the mourn watch surrounding her part in the protection of some of the senior necromancers during an incident involving a greater spirit

4 cont. cont. /cont./ she was recently told to take leave of the mourn watch due to a political mess and became the acquaintance of a dwarf. rest is history <3

5. class warrior :) with some miiiinor necrotic magic that she plays off whenever shes outside of nevarra

6. gender trans woman! she'd always sort of had Thoughts that she'd generally ignored but it hadnt clicked for her until one of her rare outings while being the guard for a senior necromancer who visited minrathous. she met a mage there who she was struck by and it didnt click /why/ until she'd +

sat down and talked with her. it went similarly to taash's talk with neve, with her expressing disinterest and discomfort with herself and the mage assuring her that she doesnt /have/ to be a man. vaena struggled with it a little at first but found her footing 🫶 she doesnt wear a lot of makeup or +

jewelry aside from some simply grave dowry bangles and a few rings, old worn gold, so she finds other ways to feel feminine and Like Herself. she wears her hair long even if its inconvenient, she likes getting her nails shaped and cleaned and colored. she wears simple clothes but gets them tailored

8. parentage she has vorgoth i guess but otherwise no 🫶 and considering someone doesnt oft just leave a child like that without a reason, shes okay to keep it that way

9. siblings she has a skele-TON of them. haha. hehe. get it. (she doesnt have any)

10. first love a boy in one of her classes as a young thing. he made her feel beautiful for the first time, and she helped him study to the detriment of her own learning but she got to watch his thinking face and look excited when he understood something. she doesn't recall his name anymore
