my favorite parts about the fake DAWiki page i made for thierry have to be the DAO-style gifts section + the lame trivia :) i still havent finished up formatting and cleaning up his background/involvement sections BUT !! these are done at least :)

hehehe hi :3 ok so Main AU thierry smells like linseed (from oiling his bow), cooking spices, leather, hay, and incense. maybe a little like horse. warden thierry would still have the linseed, spice, and leather!! but wears the incense a little heavier because hes paranoid about the Blight Smell

oh i am SO glad you asked!! i was inspired by this codex entry to make an assassin from the anderfels who was in the kings service as one of his hands of absolution. as for naming i went by the common theme of ander's names being germanic + then wanted a nicknameable version: theuderic + thierry!! 1️⃣

his armor changes depending on the game but the closest is the garb of kinship in datv! he wears leathers with minimal plating, emphasis on flowing fabric! meanwhile his special weapon is his grunsmann bow that i wrote into his backstory :) its an heirloom from his mento ngl.link/rookthrice

maybe oddly, but no not at all! thierry has an admittedly bordering on unhealthy relationship to the wardens. whether its dai or datv, growing up he idolizes them and can be blind to the order’s flaws. dai thierry would become a warden as a way to find a good death &&& ⬇️ ngl.link/rookthrice

ooh.. i think itd be more based on ease of takedown. genlock and hurlocks die easier with some arrows to the face than say, an ogre. he prefers the ability to stay long range and ogres close the gap too damn fast i also think hed want to put shrieks out of their misery quickly ngl.link/rookthrice

thierry wears a lot of loose, draped clothing. salwar is his go-to for bottoms because theyre comfortable and airy + he layers a lot, usually natural fibers like cotton and linen, and wool for outer layers. light colored fabrics and darker leathers, lots of belts, and heeled boots.

vaena is a transgender woman & is heterosexual :) shes also t4t (i headcanon emmrich as a trans man) thierry is a transgender man & is polyamorous and queer

vaena was called “queenie” by varric 🫶 thierry’s name is a nickname of his full first name “theuderic”! its what his (orlesian) father called him varric never settled on a nickname for him… i think hed call him bambi in a world where that wasnt breaking the fourth wall 💀

thierry wears braces to stabilize his knee & shoulder because hes got Thedosian EDS & has chronic issues with his ptsd (namely dissociative states and anxiety)

vaena speaks nevarran (and reads/writes tomb-script) and trade! she's elfblooded but never had any sort of connection to elvish thierry is a certified polyglot, he can speak 1. ander 2. orlesian 3. conversational antivan 4. conversational qunlat 5. some tevene (ty dorian)

ive not thought much about him as a warden yet, but in his original form, his background of being a weapon for the crown means hes REALLY good at compartmentalization and depersonalizing himself from a situation. he doesnt anger easily because hes used to blocking out strong emotion in general (1/3)

thierry has chronic migraines with aura! hes also allergic to apples & roses vaena has developing cataracts in her right eye, probably a little astigmatism, so she wears glasses in her downtime :) shes also got some arthritis and stiffness that comes with older age

thierry has ptsd (with dissociative states) + generalized anxiety disorder 👍 he can also have some BFRBs like me. as a treat

thierry saw varric as a friend, but varric never really saw him as one back. not for lack of trying on either's part, but there was always a rift between them, even before hawke's demise. in haven, varric was a step away from leaving and thierry always had a mask on. ***(1/3)***
