it's actually the strategy that people on the right used to bring about the Trump era. This is simply how it has to work in a first-past-the-post voting system like ours, and until we get ranked choice voting, a vote for anyone other than the Democrat is a vote for the Republican.

It also got us here. It took the Harris campaign flaming out because she featured Zionism as a major part of her campaign for some DNC stamped Dems to finally stop tongue kissing Zionism. "Harm reduction" has just been enabling fascism for 30 years.
