As of the posting of this story just before 8 p.m., the early vote tally stood at 2,016,077. In 2022, 1,640,652 Georgians voted early in person over 15 days, a 22% increase over the same number of days this year. Including absentee ballots, statewide turnout is 28% with seven days remaining until Election Day, matching turnout seven days out from Election Day in 2022. “Georgia voters deserve the highest praise,” Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said in a press release.
