Hey, this is very cool - I think you are onto something with the card mechanic. Even ran well on my Mac (via Wine)!

Thanks! The core of the card mechanics is from Arkham Horror, I'm rejigging it to work on a hex grid and be more appropriate for a videogame though and over time it'll probably iterate further from what that game does

I've also noticed that on my screen size (on MacOS via Wine) that some UI elements are on top of other UI elements, is this a known problem in some view sizes?

This is "fixed" now in a patch - the deck and discard will be pushed behind the bar at the bottom of the screen. It causes some other, much more minor issues, but you should be able to see your skills now. Thanks for reporting!

My poor Beatrice was killed in this room. I am no gamer so it took me a little bit to understand the mechanics. I don't think I have fully understood how skill works though as I don't think I understand what makes a skill point go up or down. P.S.: It would be nice to see more of your play videos.

Heh, Beatrice is maybe a little underpowered. Last I played with her I got cut down in that room too 😬 Skills can be modified by the card you are using, cards you have equipped (i.e Power Gem and Hunters mark). Then you can commit extra cards from hand to boost that number. Then a modifier card

Monty is a lot easier to play, though you'll still have a difficulty with skills. Maybe jot down his stats in the select screen before you start. And the skill test UI will always tell the current modified value

For sure, I could understand most of the mechanics after a couple runs. I think the skills have been somewhat obscure to me since their points are not visible (UI bug mentioned in the other thread). Thanks for explaining how it works!
