Governor Gavin Newsom

The federal government is taking over the California National Guard and deploying 2,000 soldiers in Los Angeles — not because there is a shortage of law enforcement, but because they want a spectacle. Don't give them one. Never use violence. Speak out peacefully.

If you want to end this peacefully it’s in your hands: arrest every federal agent that hides their face, uses force, enters private property, or kidnaps a Californian. It’s really that simple.

Remember, there’s no legality or precedent for anything Trump is doing: the rule book has been thrown out. At this point if you want to stand up for California you have to just take the power to do so and do it.
