I've started teaching myself piano and have a basic understanding of the guitar. Would love to do some furry soft rock like stuff from the 70s or 80s. Think of the kind of stuff Michael McDonald would produce.

I think a lot of hatred for the music you make along with passengerprincess and other peeps in the ravefurrest crowd comes from a place of envy. I've gotten so angry recently at other people for being more successful than me and I had to physically restrain myself from social media because of it

and I restrain myself as an effort to push forward with my music and stop comparing myself to the progress of others. My levels of bandwidth and exposure and the amount of daily work I put into crafts are very different from a lot of other artists

Performing live music is definitely a challenge - I'm still an electronic artist, but I can barely lift/move my live rig. Great point on "why is it all computer music" - I'm actively inviting people to come record at the studio I work at (for free) because more furry music is just "oo more cake!"

Furry music doesn't have to be formulated to climb the billboard charts, or structured to slot into a DJ mix at a rave, or sophisticated enough to call for an entire orchestra. It doesn't even have to be about furry stuff. But it can be any and all of those things, and more. A genre without limits.

A lot of furry music is also electronic because furries love to rave and party and electronic music is by far the most diverse subset of music imo there’s like literally a thousand genres within it to choose from because computers give you an unlimited number of instruments. Also it’s awesome

I think to some degree a lot of furries are making music that they one day hope to be able to play at a set during a con. But that’s definitely not all furry music.

I’d be willing to bet that the people who shit talk edm constantly, have never listened to anything beyond like maybe 3 skrillex songs when they were 12. The barrier to entry to make electronic music is less, but the skill ceiling is just as high. U gotta experiment, live a little.

I love ur art and respect the craft and the way u share it with the world so fucking much, u inspire me a lot ♡♡ It feels like a fucking insult to our own brethren whenever someone goes "all furry music is the same" like just cuz u dont like edm its making ur vision so narrow and hateful...!!!!

Getting to DJ at furry events, and mixing furry music in my sets, has been the greatest joy of my life. And would've never been able to give it a shot without the encouragement from my friends in the fandom. Furry musicians are amazing and deserve so much love 💜💜💜

personally i see no difference between music made by furries and normies but i tend to actually drift more towards normie music somehow cus so many of the popular furry musicians either use obnoxious autotune and/or sing about sex or whatever which im not rlly interested in (labirhin still da goat)

FURRY MUSIC IS PEAK!! I WON'T TOLERATE SLANDER TOWARDS IT!! ACTUAL MASTERPIECES ARE BEING MADE!!! I'VE BEEN WANTING TO GET INTO MAKING MUSIC AND TO BECOME A FURRY MUSICIAN MYSELF ENTIRELY CUZ I GOT INSPIRED BY OTHER FURRY MUSICIANS!!!

The whole COMPUTER MUSIC angle is so disingenuous and you are so right that it is the people's instrument. People miss the whole accessibility angle and also just don't appreciate what goes in to making "computer music".
