one thing that i really want in terms of UX is being able to give organizations and apps 'budgets' in terms of how often they can demand my attention or message me, and I want these budgets to be visible to them. I want the marginal cost of bothering me to legible to those doing it.

I remember reading a quote from I believe PJ O'Rourke where he said "I believe you shouldn't stick your nose into other people's business except to try to make a buck" and thinking "trying to make a buck is like 98% of the reason why people stick their noses into other people's business!"
