Whenever folks ask me about portfolios, I show them this video. In 52 seconds I can see what André is good at. I understand what he is good at. If I need to hire someone who understands game feel, and who can build that on their own, I will interview him. I know this in 52 seconds.

If you’re building a portfolio, you need to decide: 1. What do I want to do? 2. Where do I want to work? 3. What can I build in days that makes those folks at 2 want to hire me to do 1? Because you can build these things in days. Not weeks, not months, but in days. It’s tough work, that’s the work.
