Do you know the "Meet The ...." videos from Team Fortress 2? Turns out, in the Deadlock files of 2024 there were some audio files for a visual novel, which folks found, but were unused. Someone took it upon themselves to make a "Meet The Gargoyle" video out of it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=PSLZ...
It is stupendously incredible animation work. All they had was a character model and some audio files, but they documented their whole process of creation. Rigging, blocking, splines, 2D animatics, backgrounds, the whole thing: www.youtube.com/watch?v=WiVy...
Two things that I think people may not be aware of: 1. Deadlock is technically still an early access invite-only game. 2. If you let a community run with the fun things they want to do, amazing things can happen.
