The worst heat I ever experienced was in the steam engine room of the USS Enterprise during summer in the Persian Gulf. Ambient temperature was 140°F and high humidity. One corner was 170°F. We kept "cool" by standing in front of 2ft diameter vents blowing 110°F air from outside. It sucked.
