I never fit in as a guy, and I was terrified of showing femininity but one day just after I turned 30; I realized I was even more scared of growing old as a man. I think had trans people been more prominent when I was a teen it wouldn't have taken this long.

One of the reasons I get so angry at the way trans kids are treated is because I don't want more kids to go through the 15 years of horrible suffering I did. I realized I wanted to be a girl when I was a teen but I didn't know what being trans meant, and I was way too scared to talk to anyone.
