Just found @raz.lol’s talk about personal data in the atproto conference. I had something similar in mind but I’m not sure if I should build it because maybe permissioned data is all I need.

The big thing was basically “open, distributed CloudKit/Dropbox”, based on automerge + a different service (not a proxy) by having a record at tld.whatever.repo (because there’s no method to add a service to the did)

I wanted to separate private data (which probably will get almost no traffic and will be easier to host) than a public PDS which gets into all this relays
