I am a psychology student and reallu want to look at ants through the lens of superorganisms as distributed cognition, and this video was one of the many reasons. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be much of an appetite for that in academia. They are fascinating creatures.

Got the same question as #Aislin. Why do these ants transport the object. Is it full of sugar? To bring it to the hive?? Don't know. I already knew ants were smart, but wat triggered them in this case? I would like to know.

Perhaps our government leaders should he requires to pass this test before holding office.

I've been saying for years if you want to show people how to work properly just watch ants or bees !!!

How did they explain the task to the ants? Or rather: why would the ants feel the need to transport that item from left to right?
