I thought we needed a custom ROM to see the benefits of an Atmosphere OS, but @astrra.space showed me how we could accomplish the same with stock Android

I wish we could buy Nova Launcher. It’d be perfect. I did see someone started an interesting web based launcher project but it only just got started and stalled but it felt promising to build on top of. I also have notes on this very atproto launcher product somewhere… gotta pull them out.

github.com/bridgelaunch... Cool concept. Would love to see this happen in some form. Lots of opportunities for all kinds of interesting integration possibilities including local pds an/or pds mirror. Also combine with @automerge.org and we get a web based control surface. Can play with social too.

There is a lot that I’d like to see happen on top of this baseline that may require going with an android fork, but there’s a hell of a lot we can do with what’s already in the platform. @jauntywunderkind.bsky.social Ill raise your launcher idea by this could also be a browser. (I’m a one trick 🐴)
