Slowly, Steve struggles up, watching and listening as clanking of metal armor and footsteps march away. Down the stairs of his tower. He barely breathes, waiting, but hears nothing beyond the door for a long moment. Steve scans the room, spotting the glint of the dagger the alpha, Eddie, threw.

Steve shrugs off the embroidered blanket and starts a new struggle against his silk restraints, chafing his wrists horribly by pulling and twisting his hands in the tightly knotted fabric. His skin gives first, stinging and swollen red. Steve growls, cursing the alpha and his skilled hands

But he manages to get his shoulder under the bedframe, groaning with effort as he manages to barely lift the heavy frame off the floor. Panting, he tries again - the wood cuts into his shoulder, his face grows hot, temple sweating. The bed creaks, lifts, just enough that he can pull his hands out.

The heavy frame falls back with a loud bang and Steve freezes, only his eyes move toward the door. Silence. Perhaps there really is no one there. Steve feels pure animosity for the alpha. For assuming that Steve was so weak that he didn't need to even post guards to protect against his escape.

AHHHHH this is honestly so fucking good and I love everything about it and need you to know, I REALLY appreciate the effort of writing long posts on here, especially with translating for Eddie lol I know it’s a bitch to write super long threads but this is incredible 💖

Tbh I REALLY like thread fics bc the format of 'fill the little box with ONE thought - good job! Here's another box!' breaks up ~the daunting blank page~ in a way that really works for me. And it doesnt feel so serious so I can actually start and finish something Thank youuuuuuuu 💖💖
