yolo updating to Tahoe while watching the Java Documentary— and wow some great interviews in this doc! youtu.be/ZqGSg4b_cZA

core memories of an Honors CS100 level c++ course where we did Java for the honors final circa ‘97 — and hiding public static void main(){} in a TI-85 because I knew I couldn’t memorize that nonsense at the time!

and being at UPRR in ‘00 when Java wasn’t yet trusted for “low level” code so we’d have Java pre-JSP html rendering but calling a c++ database layer because Java was “too slow”

Any documentary that quotes en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Cat... is a documentary for me

Reminds me how in ‘01 I clipped an IBM ad for Linux out of a magazine and hung on my cube wall as it was the first ever ad in the “real world” for linux and it was just amazing at the time www.motherjones.com/politics/200...

take a 🥃 every time an Omaha Java Users Group speaker makes an appearance and you'll definitely enjoy your weekend evening!
