Good morning from London, #DataBS / #DataSky -- a question for the hive mind please 🙏 When would it be appropriate for an organisation to pay for Snowflake, BigQuery as well as Databricks?

What's a use case for accommodating Databricks into our stack when we've got both Snowflake as core warehouse, and BigQuery for various Google lock-in bits..? (p.s.: I'm trying to keep an open mind, but cards on table, I'm a bit biased against my team having to support even more data tooling..)

Totally fair and I'm with you there! Supporting a bunch of bespoke tooling can be painful and rightfully avoided. Snowflake and Databricks do have significant overlap (more than I realized since I last looked) so it's now a matter of pricing and cost to convert that team over or not.
