I’ve done nothing to customise mine, and it’s all pretty good. Not sure why. I usually hate algorithmic feeds, but I actually choose to look at this one every now and then. The Threads one, on the other hand, feels like it’s dialled in for maximum addiction and maximum outrage.

I don’t think you need a tool like this to build a feed, but it looks neat. I think they use tldraw for their visual composer.

I’ve filed the discover feed under “will probably get better over time” in my head and largely stopped using it. I appreciate they’re a small team with big fish to fry atm.
