I’m impressed. A nice example of how to handle this with transparency and honesty. Carroll makes a strong case for accountability. This thread makes clear that it’s reasonable to expect some explanation and soul-searching from those who were connected with Epstein.

Hey, my name is in the Epstein files! I've told the story before, but should probably re-up. TLDR: never met the guy, never took (or asked for) any money from him, never visited the island. I was invited to the island, and said no. It's not that hard to just say no.

The sleaziness was there if you paid much attention. Even if they were generally trying to keep things somewhat hidden. Nice to know some people saw that and turned away. But the drive to bring in outside money pushed on many academics isn’t healthy. Fund education.
