I recreated Joey's Gibson virus from the movie Hackers and it runs on a vintage Powerbook Duo. When you launch the "virus" it makes a new post to the Bluesky bot @hacktheplanet.simone.computer Before you ask no this is not actually a virus 😜 #hacktheplanet #retrocomputing #vintageapple

Blog post with all the technical deets: system31.simone.computer/blog/recreat... pity I couldn't release it for the #marchintosh :')

Just tried it out, but some things were missing due to not having the right version of quicktime. This was on a Quadra 700 with MacOS 7.1 - any thought on what version I should install?

ok installing quicktime 2.5 from Macintosh Garden did the trick for me on Mac OS 7.5. Maybe 7.1 might be incompatible 🤔 Let me know if you still have issues! macintoshgarden.org/apps/quickti...
