Lately I've been considering putting ads on the Daily Akari home screen. I'm wondering how people would feel about it. I don't really want to do it, but it might just help me make ends meet a bit more.

The ad-free beauty of the site is one of its unique selling points (to me), but I totally get the reasoning. Ko-fi/Patreon is the only alternative, I assume, and it's hard to get a solid income from that.

Thank you, part of my vision was that I wanted to keep ads and any extra "noise" like that away from the game. And the purpose wasn't to gain income from it anyway, but it's been tough lately. I think I'll only put them on as a last resort.

I agree. But it’s annoying to search for the "X" button first thing when I just want to solve a puzzle. Ads that don't need to be manually closed will be better.

If I did it, I would just put them in the empty space along the sides or the top/bottom. I wouldn't want it to get in the way of playing the puzzle. I think there might be a way to log in and verify if you support me on ko-fi or if you have bought merch, then maybe you wouldn't see the ads 🤔
