We’ve been through this before. Right or wrong, the mother doesn’t believe the story. That is what she told people then and now. That’s a whole lot different than “protecting a rapist” or whatever the accusation is. She doesn’t think he did it.

Are they actually defending rapists or just doubting that the stories happened that way, or at all? Because there is a difference. I’ve never heard a Republican actually defend a rapist. They just scoff at some or most of the stories.
