I just aged a lot. I don't thank all 3 of you.

Did you actually use 5"¼ floppies? I did, on my first computer, an Apple II! And I still have it and dozens of floppies with carefully curated software 😛

I used 5"¼ floppy disks on my first computer, an Amstrad PC-1640 which has 2 floppy drives.

I threw away all the floppy disks a few years ago...

BTW, did you know that floppy disks are a great visible light filter to keep only IR? I used that to mod a webcam to build a touch table some years ago. www.instructables.com/Multi-touch-... and nice pictures you can do with this hack www.instructables.com/Floppy-Disk-...
