i got the bad ending of the witcher carnal sins questline 😔 unfortunately i did way too much in between finishing it and realizing it to justify reloading a save.

at first it was really exciting cause i happened upon a new victim while doing other quests and was like "holy shit there's more!!! no way!!!" but then it turns out that the false ending is still the end of the questline, it's just really narratively unsatisfying and kinda shitty. oops.

kinda frustrating tbh. what do you mean geralt is just like "guess i got the wrong guy. ah well!" after all of that. not even an option to bring it up to dandelion. i think the misdirection is super cool but there absolutely should be a path to unlock the rest of the questline if you work for it

im in shock that Todd Howard had more foresight to allow this to happen in a similar quest in skyrim while the witcher 3 didnt. Todd howard made a more satisfying quest. what the fuck.

a bunch of quest endings in Witcher are like that and it was always so frustrating to me that the game just subtweets you about it and then blocks you despite Geralt being more than capable as a character as established by the game itself of doing something about it
