I am 70 years old and still working thankfully. I am afraid to retire because I was stupid, and didn't put enough away for this administration to wipe out before I retired. So I will live 95% on Social Security. I know people that retired already that SS is their sole income. That's why I work.

Life expectancies were shorter when SS was first established. The cap needs to be adjusted upwards to make up for lost funding. $1 m seems fair.

We can fully fund Social Security if the wealthy and corporations would pay their far share of taxes. These liars make it sound like there is no solution other than make seniors suffer with less, all so the rich can have more.

You need to stop using the term "TAXED" on an EARNED BENEFIT. Social Security is NOT a TAX. Social Security is COLLECTED as a PREMIUM that provides an earned benefit from your check. If it was a TAX, you would be able to claim it in your taxes as a tax write off. GOV only COLLECTS for SS. premiums.

No one is arresting those who choose to steal social security via AIPAC/Republican congressional vote.

When Bush came up with Medicare Part D to cover drug expenses, seniors weren't looking close at it. Firstly the law was written by the drug manufacturers. No ability to negotiate bulk pricing? It enriches the companies and at the same time attempts to bankrupt Medicare. Win-Win for the GOP.
