If anyone’s freaking out, I break down a lot of the smokescreen in this chain. tl;dr: Anthropic jailbroke a known vulnerable android tv, and are very proud of themselves. We’ve been doing this since the iPhone3G days. Almost all of things they are doing are already on shelf. This isn’t impressive

All this is, and all it will ever be, is a giant LIE to try to hype up their product and continue to sell this theory that “genAI will kill us all, oh government-sonsansama please call it national security crisis and gov bail us out (by nationalizing us)” This is literally the gambit.
