This new YouTube UI change to how views are displayed in so baffling - clearly the intent is to fit more info in a smaller space...

...but it only looks like with Control Panel for YouTube removing the useless "Most relevant" section and increasing the number of videos per row! This is what the same screen in vanilla YouTube looks like - still sod all room for actual videos due to the huge thumbnails:

Same thing with the related sidebar when watching a video (which I normally have completely hidden) - this is what it looks like in vanilla YouTube then with Control Panel for Twitter restoring it usual size:

This is how I normally have it configured when not in Theater mode: Hide Related videos Hide sidebar when empty
