You have to remember, this was the Nintendo DS/Wii era, where they had some kind of mandate to make use of the system's gimmick(s), even if the game suffers from it as a result.

Probably the most pissed you've sounded in a review in a hot minute (deserved) Also I know it's not THAT unique a concept but all I can think of with that ending scene is deltarune, god I'm insane fan brained

Tried playing this back when it was new and it always just felt like a shoverware licensed game that they slapped Wario'a mug onto. Not terribly fond of this game myself if you can't tell.

Kind of deserved given the direction of the series has been going and Udon going full supervillain. Same with the Mega Man ZX roast. That game was awkward to play compared to Z4 knowing capcom's M.O. with that "franchise" that never recovered from X7.

This was also during the time of the Biometal Fad so... Yeah, you can see why I was COMPLETELY unaware of Master of Disguise's existence as I was about to experince the Mega Man Fandom's Weird Route over a fangame once people managed to get a DS emulator running.

His mention of ZX in the video wasn't a roast though, he was saying ZX handled form-swapping better than Master of Disguise did.

ZX WAS a part of the spiral that turned Mega Man into the living fossile of a franchise it is today. Being able to swap forms was the LEAST of that game's problems, since there navigation of both games were rancid dogshit.

This is one of the few games I owned in my early childhood (alongside, amusingly, lots of the DS games mentioned here, notably Yoshi’s Island DS), but I’ve never heard anyone talk about it. Wondered if me struggling with it was just me being bad at games back then. Glad to know it’s not JUST that!

Ah, the Wario game I grew up with. Lots of nostalgia, many hours played, and many, MANY fun times. In hindsight, however, this game is . . . . . . unique. Not for everyone, for sure. . . . . . . That soundtrack is pretty good, though.

The funny thing, I thought, "Maybe having this in a DS app on Switch 2 would alleviate the Jump issue since you can remain buttons in those emulators." Then I realized, "That solves one problem. What about the other nineteen minimum?" Hoo boy, what a mess this game is...
