For the record, ribcage tattoos hurt. The diaphragm and below, though, are EXTRA. OTOH, my torso is coming along nicely.

When I was getting my owl done the wing tips went around to the ribs and that area indeed was special. My chest piece doesn’t go around to the upper ribs but it does extend down past the diaphragm. Yup, I made faces. I really need to find a MI artist as I want a new Dorsai tattoo

Yeah, the sternum was intense, the ribs were exciting, but the diaphragm and below are something else entirely.

For me, my ribs were fine; inking my upper back, otoh, was a torment.
