I get the impression Bluesky is a difficult platform to use if your intent is to ultimately sell something, be they goods or services, because you either have to constantly repost your stuff or maintain a direct dialogue with followers/customers.

but wasnt it the same for twitter? yet it had the best ratio of posted links to sales

My understanding is that Twitter has algorithm driven feeds so your posts were also more visible to non followers. Same as the Meta platforms. So certain posts on your part could become amplified by the platform itself to broaden your reach and increase sales. Bsky doesn’t have that, I believe.

Yeah I just stay put cos a lot of these apps are the only way I can interact with artists and other people all over the world that I admire. A lot of my social interaction these days is mostly online. I hate AI but I hate loneliness more.

I feel trusting Meta again is a bad idea.
