reminder that if our rights depend on who is in office, we don't actually have rights. there is no victory until our safety is unassailable.

there's something that needs to be said about how democrats don't enshrine LGBTQ+ protections in law because we are a captive voter base for them. i don't want to have to consider a vote for genocide-enabling liberals because it's the only way i can breathe for four years, or to protect queer kids.

the only reason we even have to discuss losers like tallarico is because they dangle our rights above our heads. career motherfuckers who in any other world would never even be a consideration, because agreeing to come to the table over trans genocide would disqualify them, as it does for most.
