If it was a patient, a limb should be lost in surgery to stop the rot. But the patient has a gun & is angry & aggressive. Like a bad zombie movie. The Premier League will sink under the weight of politics & money. This was inevitable when jumpers for goal posts were replaced by wallets & blindfolds.

Thanks again for all your work over the years on this Nick. It was always incredible to have someone lay it all out so clearly over years. No matter how much Man City lied and gaslighted everyone.

According to a large number of their supporters, they're entitled to challenge any ruling until they get one they like, and in the meantime they're free to carry on hoovering up elite players and trophies. It's nauseating

Even if they take it to the High Court, the PL are able to impose sanctions after City’s appeal is rejected, which will happen within 30 days of last Friday. So well before the end of the season. Many City fans are far from even the bargaining stage at the moment.

That's right. Furthermore, they have to be able to establish serious bias or incompetence in the panel and appeal panel's rulings to take it to the high court. They already tried to get the high court involved instead of cooperating with the investigations, HC ruled against them

I think a lot of the media have not fully informed themselves of the process and assume that City can just do endless lawfare, but yeah trying to appeal to the High Court will almost certainly not go anywhere. They can try, but it’ll get thrown out early

Big fan of your work. Question: since the findings from the independent commission never used the word "guilty" once (it's an "official" document vs a "legal finding"), should folks be more careful using the "guilty" term? AD are extremely litigious...
