rei(mu) ;w; ☕🌸@mittens-dev.bsky.social1wOkay I mean that was a bit harsh of me. Maybe I just haven't given the insert key a chance. 😛 It can be mapped to other things right?1
rei(mu) ;w; ☕🌸@mittens-dev.bsky.social1wbut why not just SHIFT+CTRL+RIGHT to instantly select something and then type over it?1
Zaidazadkiel and 31 others@zaidazadkiel.bsky.social1wyou can do that, its the magic of ✨user choice✨1
Michel Bestaat@michelbestaat.thereforeiam.eu1wA useless key I sometimes hit by accident and then start to panic as editing goes apeshit.2
Joey@joeythejackal.bsky.social1wYes! THis boomer. Generally shift + ins used for pasting into a git bash terminal on windows1
Chris Oldwood@chrisoldwood.bsky.social1wI use it dozens of times a day :o). The CUA compliant cut, copy, and paste keyboard shortcuts rely on it: Cut: shift + delete Copy: ctrl + insert Paste: shift + insert (I learned these long before the more traditional Ctrl+X, C, V.)4
