Way too much dude. Nobody will be able to afford this. Wish steam would've just held off on making these until the chip shortage got better. What a shame I wanted one so badly

The chip shortage will last for years probably. I'm not sure they could afford to put it on stand-by for so long.

I love the idea of a valve console, but I hope the price of steam machine won't ruin the future of that. Chip shortage is gonna be for the rest of our lives I bet.

This thing should’ve been shelved with the current state of the hardware industry. The most I could see people paying for this, would’ve been $999 for a 1 TB model. I understand wanting to make a tangible profit on the hardware but it just feels like they’re making the exact same mistake again.
