In a written statement with a photo, Mitch McConnell says he was “briefly unconscious” after his fall last month but did not suffer a heart attack or stroke. He says he’s recovering in a rehabilitation center after developing pneumonia and won’t return to the Senate floor until doctors clear him.

Why is this “proof of life” photo the exact same picture ( with an updated newspaper for “proof”) as the widely circulated photo following his 2023 rib fracture following a fall? I am so surprised that they would stoop to this low level. It was easily found with an internet search.

I've looked and I haven't found an exact match for his face or clothing.
