In Obsidian 1.14 the new quick capture launches faster than the iOS animation takes to complete (currently available in early access)

Obsidian 1.14.1 (early access) is now available to Catalyst members for desktop and mobile. - iOS: New Quick Capture widget instantly launches a capture with configurable location and template. - Accessibility: Mobile app now scales with your system's preferred text size.

If we could tie this to the action button it would rock.

you can do that already

Wait, since when!?

You could already assign the action button to a shortcut from the Shortcuts app, which can do things in Obsidian. In Obsidian 1.14 there is a new Quick Capture shortcut that's even faster.

@stephango.com any chance for a “Append/Prepend to Note” action in Shortcuts?
