I so badly want to enjoy software without having to investigate every codebase. I hate Mermaid *because* they hard endorsed genAI and I've been looking for an alternative ever since.

If there's no genAI being used, just remove the red flags from the .gitignore - there's no reason for them and it pollutes the file. The only other explanation that comes to mind is that genAI usage is being hidden, which is just dishonest.
