There are many MRI approaches for studying myelin. But which ones are reliable, how do they relate to each other, and how do they behave in gray vs white matter? In our new preprint, we introduce Myelin Imaging Reliability and ReprOducibility Resource (MIRROR) 🧠🪞 📄🔗 www.biorxiv.org/content/10.6...

Takeaway #4: Some acquisitions can do more than one job. dMRI, MP2RAGE, and T1w/T2w provide myelin-sensitive information while also supporting tractography, quantitative or anatomical imaging, and standard structural workflows—an important advantage when scan time is limited.

Huge thanks to an amazing team that made this possible! Special thanks to co-first author @tsalo.bsky.social, our MRI acquisition/methods collaborators, co-senior authors Manuel Taso + @mdtisdall.bsky.social, and my post-doctoral mentor @ted-satterthwaite.bsky.social. www.biorxiv.org/content/10.6...
