They might not be human. Could be emotional vampires that feed draining positive emotions and replacing them with negative ones. Sowing despair, isolation, fear and helplessness in order to weaken us. Easier prey. Or bots. I hope they are bots, or vampires, and not actual people.

these utterly dreary, hopeless people dead-set on trying to infect others with despair are genuinely my least favorite part of social media. at least an actively-offensive troll is displaying some recognizable spark of human vitality.
