Wow.. missed this blog post the first time. Not surprising though, imho. I wonder how many of those high IF citations reflect actual reading of the paper in question. Moreover, by leaving the writing/reading to AI this divide between journal cit (IF as a consequence) is bound to become a chasm 🤔
