It starts with the machine. A new laptop becomes mine from one declarative file I can read before it runs, so I always know exactly what a setup will do. Then the terminal: ghostty, tmux, and a picker called proj that is the way in to any piece of work.

The harness is pi, which I now use for everything because I can extend it. I pick the model per task, defaulting to a strong one and dropping to cheaper ones for smaller work. And I can hold a tool at an exact version or let it track the latest, tool by tool.

When I run several agent sessions at once, they can talk to each other. A local mail bus hands tasks between them, a review tool lets me edit a draft while the agent rewrites the parts I mark, and I can reach a running session from my phone.

The workflow is capture, plan, implement, review, ship. Nothing is reviewed by the thing that wrote it, so review runs on a different model. Everything lands through a pull request, and merging is what deploys, with no credentials on my machine.
