The last time I’ve used an open public WiFi was in 2008. Seriously. It was during some IT conference where I was speaking about web security. I got hacked while giving a talk 🙃 The attacker sent me a funny email with some files from my own machine. Humbling experience and a lesson for life.

It was an IT Underground conference, so there people who knew about this stuff more than I did. I was just a junior dev who only got there because his boss who was meant to give this talk couldn’t go.
