Exactly right. While it’s good to see the Lincoln project has so much power to correct these mistakes. These are the same guys that paved this path with Newt Gingrich and Sarah Palin.

Many many examples of this that slip by the media across federal, state and local governments. A common example is a Mayor or Governor creating an unnecessary special election on behalf of their chosen candidate by hiring the current occupant into their administration during an off-year.
