Really really cool. I never in a million years expected to help with chart fx for e.g a m1dy original, or nothing but requiem, or e.g. yuta imai, and the ability to put smaller names that are lowkey up there in quality with the greats in the spotlight also feels great.

1. what rhythm game would you most like to see a "Not___" version of (with like modcharts and stuff, as well as QoL) 2. favorite rhythm game april fools event that you did? 3. favorite rhythm game april fools event that you didn't do? 4. do you still remeber?

1. Kind of interesting. I feel like I never even really wanted this for itg, it just sort of happened around me. I also would not wish this to happen to any of my friends' games ever (against their will, anyway) and I really dislike the subsets of their respective communities that keep tryna do that

Hope you have a safe flight! Out of curiosity, when playing rhythm games, is there some control schematic that you like or feel the most comfortable with? Like, prefer those that you can use a dance pad over keyboard

I mean, I like dance pad because I been playin it for 20 years, but it is much more susceptible to bad charting being physically painful than any other control scheme. On keyboard I don't really have a problem with sdf jkl games, but i prefer good quality pad charts with a wasd/jikl layout the most

I general a thing that would drive me away from an rg is input complexity wrt. number of buttons, and strict timing windows. Too many buttons or tons of different mechanics at once feels inelegant. For shmups, it'd be fast reaction time based rng dodging, that's absolutely not for me.

You can balance input complexity with some godlike telegraphing/presentation and some goodass charting - and the same would apply for making it work in a shmup with good telepgraphing/presentation and stage design

Utterly, unquestionably, Gitaroo Man. I don't have anywhere near the visionary skill required to pull it off, though, so this hypothetical me who is doing that also has that skill, or a team with that skill

Now THERE'S a question. 1. Incredible Crisis (PS1) I was deeply inspired by the way this game ties silky minigames together into a story, and the way it handles its minigame design in general. 2. Klonoa 2: lunatea's veil - impeccable vibes and wonderful storytelling both literal and environmental

3. Crash Bandicoot 2 - the way the movement works hits just right, and the box collecting aspect works well to bridge the gap between linear levels and overwhelming open world collectathons.

Also, the reused level themes were very economical - dkc2 was also like this, seeing the same tilesets at different times of day and with evolutions of the same concepts at different points in the game is a super smart and well paced way to progress difficulty without needing more assets.

Underrated GENRE I don't know, I don't tend to think in terms of genre but rather artists and their Sound. A lot of the time when a genre is written by name in a game it's some bullshit like "emoctro" Gun to my head I'd say I miss old beatmania stuff like more deep. Wac stuff also always compelling

Gotta go back to the touhou drinks bar. That shit was extremely funny. Sushiro and yakiniku stay winning too. There was an amazing fried chicken place where every single item no matter the size (or even alcoholic strength) was 390 yen, which was crazy work...

This doesn't happen very often and can't remember any instances. Would "something happening in an srt" count because if yes, probably either the sakuramichi overdrive fake crash, uksrtx monkey ball or uksrt3 revealing that mawaru was back

My merch budget is somewhere between "a paycheck from <current employment>" and "oh no its uncapped" but I generally am quite picky about what I buy so it probably won't be insane

My favorite old rhythm game charts are probably true love from ddr supernova (I love doing the spins) or souten from tone sphere (bold choice to make a long ass adventure out of chained slides)

I kind of regret what I did to ele's haunted house gimmick (made a really shitty double fakeout version in uksrt8 get fucked @ start of song 3) because there was a period where ppl were coming up with more and more annoying versions of it without any of the pacing or comedic timing or reactability

Playing - Touhou 6 new classic Watching - his & her circumstances Listening - Annabel, Siraph, ALI PROJECT, la la larks, school food punishment Japan - we're demoing chronal chain and projekt godhand at Tokyo game show Questions - because you a greedy mf

A proper honest to god linear 3d platformer, like a crash bandicoot like. There are a few things I've made in notitg that I'd like to try turning into fuller experiences at some point too like arrowquest or brother pogo.. Also a shitty bootleg wordle that kills you in real life n raids your fridge

Because it's been on my mind lately, "clock that ticks away the past" from touhou 6 extra stage feels like the easiest spell in the fight that can somehow go wrong. But a lot of extra stage cards are like this, like "froggy braves the elements" and "7 stones 7 trees" from mountain of faith's extra.

There is actually an answer for this, it's between two characters from a game I'm working on that hasn't been announced yet - but of the characters that are known, I think I have the most fun writing for Princess Mimi, she is just the worst

when listening to a cool song, artists tend to imagine animatics in their head and geometry dash players tend to imagine levels. what do you see?

Kaypooma - amethyst aurora Fms cat - analys Puurokulho - feels like we only go backwards Windeu - seismo Daikyi - villain virus Tetaes - spooky house Plightshift - the bit trip runner thing Mang - 2 hal 9001

What, why would I listen to songs in reverse. There are two songs in touhou that i know contain backmasked parts though, koishi's theme, and seija's theme, so they sound good both ways. There's this cool rap remix of seija's theme too that has a section where they rap in reverse, which goes hard

Wow that search space is so wide, how can you expect a meaningful answer???? I guess the first thing that pops into my mind is Doof from Phineas and Ferb, lol I mean, like, does Cirno count? Idk man. And the gradient between main and side character is vague too. Fuck it. Orbsman tadc sweep

I made 4 itg things this year (one was in the tournament at rip and the other 3 are misc notitg things), and a chart from a couple years ago is in the shine 6 pack, I'm kind of vaguely still around

Big fan of Vibri, she is just precious. Other than that, idk maybe Alpha from noisz. I love evil women and would let her do things to me. Tsuki from vivid/stasis with her scythe was an incredibly badass visual. Lethe arcaea.. I think she's really pretty
