Our attacker finally seems to have learned that our sister wiki, Data Crystal, exists, and pointed their cannon at it. Data Crystal is now behind Cloudflare as well. For TCRF updates, we haven't seen any outage issues since swapping to Cloudflare, and more VPNs should be allowed as well.

Tech Bros: Why are you so mad at LLMs? Me watching the Web die in real time: I don't know guys, you tell me.

Their first pick was Fastly, but Fastly almost immediately screwed them over. Not a lot of picks for decent DDOS protection so it was either Cloudflare or no site at all.

yeah basically this. i'm anti-cloudflare but it was always my last resort (i made an account mid-last year when things first got bad, just in case, but didn't end up using it) ... unfortunately, well, last resorts sometimes need to be used :/

Nothing says "I like data and want it to be free and easily accessible/usable without strings" like "trying to force multiple repositories offline because you don't like an admin". Publishing something pretending to be a destructive LLM instruction is a fElOnY-cRiMe. DDoSing is fair game, though.
