This is amazing! Governments one moment are encouraging people to scan their faces for age verification and send the data to sites which refuse even to talk to regulators, and the next they are holding platforms to account for third party misuse of fourth party personal data.

I’m not sure this is true though. There is a difference in the host as data controller re. hosting and reproducing/allowing reproduction of advertising content, and the host as data processor re. user-created content.
